The deadline for the South Central Iowa Community Foundation grant in Clarke County is April 15.
With the deadline fast approaching, applicants are advised to send in their applications for the grant as soon as possible.
Non-profit organizations and charity organizations as well as government bodies working for charities, which are tax-exempt and are termed by the IRS as non-profits organizations or government entities under section 501(c) (3), are eligible for the $4,000 grant funds mandated by Clarke County.
The process of awarding grants is competitive, all the applicant organizations are to be assessed in four levels which are, their impact in the county, the continuance or duration of their project, the sphere of impact of their activity and the extent of support these projects have garnered in their community. Interested applicants can go to the website www.scif.org to clear up any confusions, find their eligibility and apply for the grant.
