City of Corydon issued the following announcement.
The City brush dump is located at the west end of First Avenue (south of the Wayne County Fairgrounds). Due to incidents of inappropriate dumping, the gates to the brush dump are now locked. Residents can arrange for access by contacting City Hall at 872-1826 during regular business hours (M-Th, 8-4:30pm) for an appointment. The cost is $10 per load which can be paid at the gate, at City Hall, or it can be added to the resident’s water bill.
Brush pick-up is the 3rd Thursday of the month now through November. Pick up can be arranged by contacted City Hall at 872-1826 to be put on the pickup list. A small pile of brash or bags of leaves is $5 and a large pile is $10. The charge will be applied to the resident’s next water bill.
Large branches must be cut to 4-foot lengths or less with cut ends toward the street. Piles of brush must be near the curb. The city workers will not go up a driveway or into yards to get the piles. Leaves and grass clippings must be in bags.
