Senior Life Solutions at Decatur County Hospital Welcomes New Program Director

Decatur County Hospital issued the following announcement.

Decatur County Hospital is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Hamilton, BSN, RN as the new Program Director at the Senior Life Solutions program.

Senior Life Solutions, an intensive outpatient group therapy program, is designed to meet the unique needs of senior struggling with age-related depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, a recent health diagnosis, or the loss of a loved one. As Program Director, Elizabeth Hamilton will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of program staff to ensure quality patient care, and providing community education to create awareness of the program.

Elizabeth has 21 years’ experience as a nurse. Her last two roles have included administration and mental health. Elizabeth earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from The University of Iowa and her Registered Nursing degree from Southwestern Community College. Elizabeth was employed as an administrator for South Central Home Health prior to her current position as Program Director.

Hamilton, said, “I am honored to be part of such a wonderful program. I look forward to assisting older adults whom are struggling with emotional issues live out their lives as independently as possible, thus helping to improve their quality of life.”
