City of Greenfield issued the following announcement.
Light Up Lake Orient - Adair County Conservation Board
Date and Time: August 13, 2021 - 8:00pm to 10:00pm
Gather on the dam side of the lake at 8:00 PM.
Please wear a life vest. Kayaks and canoes are water vessels and are required by law to have one on board for every passenger. Youth under 13 must wear one at all times.
Canoes and kayaks are also required to have a white light on board when operating after sunset. The light does not have to be lit, just on the vessel. If the kayak is decorated in any white lights, this will suffice, if not a flashlight or headlamp certainly would.
