Southwestern Community College issued the following announcement on September 16.
Speaker David Woods Bartley will be on Southwestern Community College's campus on Thursday, Sept. 23, from 12:45-2 p.m., in the Allied Health & Science Center auditorium, as part of his suicide prevention training series. Bartley’s topic will be “The why of suicide and the how of hope.” Everyone is invited to attend.
Bartley has been invited to speak before a wide range of audiences across the United States, giving keynote speeches and leading workshops on a variety of aspects of mental health, including suicide awareness, suicide prevention, the power of connection, and the use of language as a tool of healing.
