City of Eldon issued the following announcement on September 24.
In the past, the city of Eldon has focused on a temporary fix of seal coat for repairs to the city’s streets. In recent years, the focus has switched to a more permanent solution of asphalt. As funding will allow, as many streets as possible will be finished in asphalt in the future.
The most traveled streets will be prioritized, such as Caster Street, which has over 14,000 visitors each year driving to and from the American Gothic House Center. We ask for your patience on the lesser traveled streets and assure you that they will be addressed as soon as possible.
