Southwestern Community College issued the following announcement on September 24.
The Spartan dance team has gained its first recruit for the 2022-23 dance season. Jalyn Klejch of Creston signed with the Spartans earlier this week.
Klejch will be a May 2022 graduate of Creston High School. She has years of dance experience. During her years of dance, she has received top 10 clog honors; elite, platinum, and high gold competition awards in jazz and hip hop group dances; and earned a varsity letter in dance.
Academically, Klejch has been on the honor roll throughout high school.
Southwestern Dance Coach Paige Busch said, "Jalyn is our first signed recruit for the season! We are so excited to have Jalyn's commitment and we will be able to support her throughout her senior year of high school."
Klejch is the daughter of Jason and Casie Klejch and Bob and Tara Hower, all of Creston. She has a brother, Tanner.
