Senior Emma Gordon and underclassmen Lauren McMahon, Kelli Tosic and Brooke McKee all registered top 10 finishes in the 5,000-meter, the Daily Iowan reported.

“I was very excited for our women’s team,” Hawkeye head coach Randy Hasenbank said, according to The Daily Iowan. “We competed well as a team, and a 13-second gap is impressive. They knew what needed to be done on the course today in order to reach their team goals by the end of the season. Today was a big step in the right direction. Kelli, Gabby and Emma are doing a great job with training and racing in regards to bringing our young runners along.”

Hawkeye Sports reported that Tosic, Gordon and McKee finished as No. 6 (17:40.3), No 7 (17:40.8) and No. 8 (17:41.7) respectively.
