Southwestern Community College issued the following announcement on October 21.
On Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, at 6 p.m., the Southwestern Community College Education Foundation brought together foundation donors and student scholarship recipients for a formal dinner and program in the Student Center gymnasium.
Speakers for the event included sophomore Karly Calvin, sophomore Thomas Esterhuyse, and SWCC graduate and current employee Tawnya Weis. During the program, Bright Scholar recipients were introduced as well. Recipients of the Bright Scholarship for the 2021-22 academic year include Brance Baker, Braelyn Baker, Emma Decker, and Cassidy Nelson.
The event was organized by Education Foundation Executive Director Cait Maitlen.
