The Hawkeyes were down by 12 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but rallied and managed to score 19 unanswered points to secure the victory in thrilling fashion, according to NU Athletic Communications.
“It’s a good feeling,” Zach VanValkenburg said, according to Hawkeye Sports. “It was obviously a victory from the jaws of defeat, but we kept fighting. We never lost faith that we were going to come out with a victory.”
The win was Iowa's fourth straight win to finish the regular season and improves the Hawkeyes to 10-2 overall and 7-2 in the Big Ten. The victory also marks the Hawkeyes’ seventh straight win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Following the loss, Nebraska ended the season with a 3-9 record.
