Southwestern Community College recently issued the following announcement.
Southwestern Community College has partnered with Employee & Family Resources (EFR) to provide a Student Assistance Program (SAP) beginning with the spring 2022 semester.
The SAP is here for students when they, or their immediate family members, are dealing with life's challenges. The SAP provides telephone consults and virtual counseling. Phone lines are answered by masters-level clinicians and open 24/7 every day of the week. With the SAP, students may receive up to six free virtual counseling sessions. After the six sessions have been utilized, referral options may be provided.
Students may use the SAP anytime they need it. Some possible situations where students may need guidance and support to assess concerns and develop strategies may include the following:
- School-life balance
- Family or relationship issues
- Emotional issues
- Alcohol and drug-related issues
- Other issues that interfere with daily living, happiness, and overall well-being.
