Of the 483 people living in New Market in 2020, 50.3 percent (243) were women and 49.7 percent (240) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the South Iowa News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 11. In the 65 and over age range, there were 52 females and 45 males.
