Of the 251 people living in Kirkville in 2020, 43.8 percent (110) were women and 56.2 percent (141) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the South Iowa News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 10. In the 65 and over age range, there were seven females and 17 males.
