MOUNT AYR'S RILEY JONES TO DANCE FOR SPARTANS
Mount Ayr High School’s Riley Jones made it official last week, she will compete with the Spartan dance team during their 2023-24 season.
Jones, who will graduate high school in May 2023, has competed with the Mount Ayr High School drill team earning numerous honors including Division 1 ratings for multiple state routines performed, as well as a Division 1 rating at the Iowa State Dance/Drill Team Association (ISDTA) solo competition. In addition, while dancing for Ryann’s Dance Academy in Mount Ayr, she earned a platinum rating for a clogging duet and her teams have achieved platinum-rated group routines.
“Riley is a very technical and skilled dancer with an immense dance background,” Paige Busch, Southwestern head dance coach, said. “She will be a wonderful addition to our team.”
Jones is the daughter of Spence and Rebecca Jones of Mount Ayr.
