Representative Zach Nunn of Iowa has supported the Fiscal Year 2026 Department of Defense Appropriations Act, which allocates $831 billion for national defense. The act includes two bipartisan amendments introduced by Rep. Nunn, focusing on battlefield innovation and Iowa's defense manufacturing sector.

Rep. Nunn emphasized the importance of investing in military personnel and technology: “As a Colonel in the Air Force, I know that investing in our military means investing in the men and women who serve,” he stated. He highlighted that the package offers a significant pay raise for military personnel and provides essential tools and training to maintain America's military capabilities.

The bill is set to proceed to the Senate for consideration.
