CITY OF CRESTON: The City of Creston, Creston Chamber of Commerce and Prairie Solid Waste are once again joining forces and sponsoring Clean Sweep Days, October 21st - 31st

Clean up

City of Creston issued the following announcement on Oct. 1

The City of Creston, Creston Chamber of Commerce and Prairie Solid Waste are once again joining forces and sponsoring Clean Sweep Days, October 21st - 31st.

NOTE: Sign up begins Monday, October 21st through noon on Thursday, October 31st. Pick-up days will be on Wednesday, October 30th and Thursday, October 31st.

Clean Sweep Days is easy and simple. You do not have to struggle, load and tie down your items, and take them to the landfill. Instead, let the City crews handle it for you. By stopping at Creston City Hall, 116 W. Adams St. (Restored Depot, 2nd floor), or the Creston Chamber Office, 208 W. Taylor St. (Alliant Energy Building), and filling out the forms, your items will be taken away for free, or for a small fee. This is a great, inexpensive way to get rid of unwanted appliances and other household items.

This is NOT affiliated with your normal garbage pickup. This is totally separate and you must complete the forms and pay for any items that may require a small fee first, in order to have your items hauled away.

Please do not miss this opportunity! We realize that a clean community is important to those who live here, as well as those who visit and pass through our area. This is a great opportunity to get rid of those unwanted items and encourage a quality environment for Creston.

This is for Creston city residents (within city limits) only. No businesses are eligible.

Forms and Price List are in Comments Section.
