City of Ottumwa issued the following announcement on Dec. 27.
Time for a little Christmas clean up! You can place both corrugated cardboard and paperboard gift boxes in your recycling bin for weekly collection. Please flatten or nest these containers to save space! Printed gift-wrapping paper and Styrofoam packing is not acceptable for recycling and should be disposed of with your regular trash. Remember to set all trash and recycling items on the curb prior to 4 AM on collection day to ensure pick up.
