City of Bedford issued the following announcement on Feb. 14.
Pet owners are responsible for the actions of their animals at all times. All dogs and cats are required to be vaccinated and must be registered at City Hall annually. The animal should wear a city tag at all times. Anyone who has not register and/or renewed your pet license for 2020 should do so immediately.
Per Chapter 55 of the City Code of Ordinances it is unlawful to permit dogs and cats to run at large or to keep an animal that habitually barks, howls, cries, or yelps.
If you have a complaint about an animal running at large or barking/crying/howling, please report it immediately so that action may be taken (City Hall at 712-523-2210 during business hours, sheriff's office at 712-523-2153 after hours).
