City of Ottumwa issued the following announcement on Feb. 6. 

Recently, there has been a lot of discussion and speculation about what is happening with public transportation in Ottumwa. Ottumwa Transit is still providing 5 fixed routes Monday through Friday from 6:45 A.M. to 6 P.M.  The City also offers paratransit services to the general public and people with disabilities and medical waiver. To arrange this service, call the Ottumwa Transit office at 683-0695.

Ottumwa Transit will be open on holidays now to operate their Paratransit service only, otherwise Ottumwa Transit does not operate before 6:45 A.M. or after 6 P.M. but people can still utilize the 10-15 Transit office for service for evening, weekend and holiday services. Check with the 10-15 Transit office to see what paratransit service is provided and medical need requirements. Ottumwa Transit is working on being more flexible with expanded times and will be making more announcements in the near future.
