CITY OF OTTUMWA: Bulk Item Pick-Up and Yard Waste Changes

City of Ottumwa issued the following announcement on Mar. 18. 

Information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve regarding recommendations. Based upon current recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and due to a reduction in non-essential services, there will be a moratorium on bulky item collections. Effective Thursday March 19, 2020, bulky item pick-up will be suspended until further notice. Collection of yard waste due to start on April 2, 2020 will be delayed until a later date.  The City of Ottumwa will keep residents informed of any changes. Regular weekly curbside trash collection will continue. If you have any questions call Health and Inspections Director Kevin Flanagan at 641-455-4990 or Bridge City Sanitation at 641-682-1700.
