OSCEOLA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Trunk or Treat Morphs to 'Grab & Go'

Halloween

Osceola Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 13.

Osceola Chamber Main Street was notified with a memo concerning Iowa Department of Public Health's recommendations about Halloween activities.  Trunk or Treat events were declared a high risk activity and unsafe due to the large, crowd gathering.

OCMS settled on a 'Grab & Go' event October 31st (5:30-7pm)  which will allow students 4th grade and under to participate. With their parents, children will pick up a bag of goodies across from the Osceola Fire Department.

Businesses will still participate by dropping off their goodies to Osceola Chamber Main Street and the Osceola Fire Department will assemble the goodie bags. Children may wear their costumes as they pick-up their bounty and return to vehicles. OCMS staff and volunteers will monitor tables without close contact with children.

WE WISH EVERYONE A NIGHT FULL OF FRIGHTS AND A BAG FULL OF DELIGHTS.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
