As the lawmakers were preparing to begin a new session, citizens of Iowa gathered in front of the Iowa Capitol protesting against the COVID-19 vaccine mandates implemented on private businesses. There were several hundred people gathered at the venue on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 5, the Des Moines register reported.
"It's sad that people would need to protest if our tyrannical government adhered to the Constitution?" Twitter used el_incr said a tweet.
Some Republicans even mentioned adding a ban to these mandates as one of the agenda to the special session held on Tuesday, KCRG reported.
Facebook's whistleblower stated that the structure of the platform prevents it from stopping misinformation about vaccines, according to The Washington Post.
The Food and Drug Administration is now discussing whether to support COVID-19 vaccine boosters for people 18 years and older.
