The 2022 Health Careers Employment and Education Fair was held April 21 at Southwestern Community College. During the event, 23 vendors shared their employment and higher education opportunities with high school students from Diagonal, East Union, Nodaway Valley, and Orient-Macksburg, as well as with current SWCC LPN and RN students. Work-based learning opportunities like this help form a connection between the classroom and the workforce.
Vendors at the fair included Adair County Health System, Care Initiatives, CHI Health, CHI Health Corning, Clarke County Hospital, EveryStep, Good Samaritan Society-Fontanelle, Greater Regional Health, Guthrie County Hospital, Iowa Focus, Iowa Intermediary Network, Iowa State University-College of Nursing, Mercy College of Health Sciences, MercyOne Des Moines, Methodist Health System, Mt. Ayr Health Care Center, Purdue University Global, Ringgold County Hospital, Southwestern Community College, Universal Pediatrics, University of Iowa College of Nursing, VA Central Iowa Healthcare System, and
