Notice of Public Hearing: License requirement for Transient Merchants

The Bloomfield City Council will hold a Public Hearing at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Bloomfield Public Library. 

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on amending Chapter 122 of the City Code of the City of Bloomfield, Iowa Code of Ordinances by modifying exemptions to the license requirement for Transient Merchants.

Specific topics addressed are, but not limited to modifying the license exemption for local residents and to add an exemption for vendors at special events, and defining the term “Local Resident”. 

The public will have an opportunity to speak at the Public Hearing. 

However, if you are unable to attend, written comments may be submitted to the City of Bloomfield, Deputy Clerk, 111 W Franklin St, Bloomfield, Iowa 52537.

Written comments must be received no later than 4 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022
