The grand opening of the new American State Bank Sports Complex marks the completion of this $8 million joint project of Dordt University and the City of Sioux Center and the launch of a major year-round Iowa attraction.
A 470-foot by 250-foot air-inflated dome and indoor turf facility, The American State Bank Sports Complex will host athletic competitions and training, wellness activities, and events. The grand opening will include a program of state and local speakers celebrating the addition of this amenity, anticipated to draw 200,000 visits each year.
The grand opening of the American State Bank Sports Complex will take place on Friday, January 20 at 1 p.m. Speakers at the event include Director of Iowa Economic Development Authority Debi Durham, Sioux Center Mayor David Krahling, Dordt University President Dr. Erik Hoekstra, Sioux Center City Manager Scott Wynja, Dordt University Director of Athletics Ross Douma, Sioux Center Chamber CEO Barb Den Herder, and more. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for tours of the facility.
The American State Bank Sports Complex is located at 1080 7th Street NE in Sioux Center. Parking will be available in the shared parking lot with the All Seasons Center. Please do not wear high heels on the turf.
