Southwestern's Sandhurst selected for Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps

Congratulations to Southwestern School for Music Vocations’ professional music major Kierra Sandhurst of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, who was recently selected as a trumpet player for the 2023 Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps!

Sandhurst will be joining the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps full time after she graduates this spring. According to their website, each season, 165 young adults from around the world between the ages of 16 & 22 join The Bluecoats for an educational training program and cross-country tour. The Bluecoats perform at events, field shows, and parades around the world, and compete in Drum Corps International (DCI) World Class. The Bluecoats’ training and performance season runs from late-May to mid-August.We look forward to following your experience, Kierra!
