There was an open house seat for which state Rep. Mike Bousselot won a special election last month. As the legislature convened to start discussing the redistricting plan, Bousselot took the oath, Iowa Radio reported.
“Congratulations to our newest member of the Iowa House, Representative Mike Bousselot! #IALegis #IAPolitics,” Pat Grassley, speaker of the Iowa House of Representative, tweeted.
The oath was administer by Grassley on Oct. 5, Iowa Radio reported.
Bousselot worked as an aide under Govs. Terry Branstad and Kim Reynolds.
The House seat that Bousselot is occupying used to be John Landon’s seat.
