U.S. Representative Zach Nunn (IA-03) today hosted a resource fair, Community Connections for Retirees, in Grimes to help Iowans connect with local community organizations, government agencies, and other resources. Nearly 100 community members and retirees attended the event to learn about available resources.
“As your Congressman, I’m 100% committed to ensuring Iowa retirees have access to the benefits they worked hard for and earned,” said Rep. Nunn. “It’s my hope that the Community Connections for Retirees resource fair helped Iowans access the support they need and learn more about resources available to them in our community.”
Keynote speakers included Rep. Nunn and representatives from the Social Security Administration and the Alzheimer’s Association. Also present were AMAC, the Iowa Attorney General’s Office of Scams and Fraud, the Department of Veterans Affairs, among others.
The event was open to all retirees, soon-to-be retirees, and individuals supporting retirees.
